Abstract
This study identifies essential combinations of individual governance indicators which influence inward capital flows for a group of seven highly interdependent Asian economies from 1997 to 2017. The panel data was estimated using a Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR) model. The findings show that selected governance indicators influence capital inflows together with traditional push and pull economic factors, such as global liquidity, global GDP growth, stock market return, and GDP growth. The study discovered two essential combinations of governance indicators which attract inward capital flows, one influencing portfolio inflow and the other influencing foreign direct investment (FDI). The two combinations of individual governance indicators supplement the role of traditional economic drivers of portfolio investment and FDI. The findings offer some policy implications; policies intending to attract capital flows into the local economies by offering only push and pull economic factors, such as improving the macroeconomic environment, may not be sufficient in the absence of improvement in governance quality. However, not all individual governance indicators are equally important as drivers of capital flows. The two essential combinations of governance factors found in this study should be given top priority for improvement if policymakers intend to attract more portfolio inflows and FDI.
Contribution/ Originality
This study is one of very few studies which have investigated the combinations of individual governance indicators that attract capital inflow. The paper's primary contribution is finding that there are two combinations of indicators influencing inward capital flows to Asian economies. Those combinations supplement the role of traditional economic drivers.

Abstract
The expansion of high-rise buildings and vertical cities has made room for a significant potential for large areas in the envelope (façade) of buildings to produce the required energy. This opens the opportunity to conduct research about the city of Mashhad-Iran. This study aims to provide an optimal model of the envelope of an office building and maximum utilization of sunlight in providing energy and indoor lighting in cold and dry climates. DesignBuilder software, version 6.1.0.006, to simulate the building and Energy plus 8.9 simulator engine was used to compare the amount of energy consumed, and electricity generated. We evaluated the data by the analytical-comparative method. The results showed that ,in one year, the energy produced by model number one (#1) (27.6%) and model number two (#2) (18.7%), among other simulated models with 15% efficiency (base efficiency rate) regarding all solar factors used in them, the amount of the electricity generated manifests a significant difference from the total electricity consumption of the building studied, assuming that the percentage of electricity supply with the actual efficiency of the proposed solar factors, are 17.99% and 17.88%, in model (#1) and model (#2). Once compared the given results of the models used for the photovoltaic panels, photovoltaic solar glasses, and the occupied area by them, a direct impact on the efficiency and energy generation of the building model envelope was seen. So, this study paves the road for further use of new technologies of building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) for locations that have similar climate.
Contribution/ Originality
This study documents that a rarely designed optimal model can be applied for the envelope of office high-rise buildings through integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems to optimize indoor daylighting and energy efficiency in Iran’s cold and dry climate in order to enhance occupants’ health, well-being and productivity towards a sustainable future.

Abstract
Wound refers to any damage or disruption to the normal anatomical structure. In our everyday pathology, wounds remains one of the demanding clinical problems with it related complications which increases mortality and morbidity rate yearly. In this study, chitin and chitosan were extracted from shrimp shells waste by chemical method, treated with an acid and an alkali which gave a yield of 12 % and 66.57 % respectively. The chemical extraction method included demineralization where the sample was treated with hydrochloric acid (HCL) under a specific temperature. The sample was then treated with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to remove all the protein in the material at a specific temperature. To obtain the chitosan, the chitin was treated with 50% NaOH at a temperature of 1000C. E.coli proved to be more susceptible in antimicrobial studies with a value of 11.67± 0.47. The FTIR spectra gave a characteristic bands of –NH at 3430.09 cm-1, OH at 3256.32 cm-1.At 2960.75 cm-1, NH was attached to a single bond. The characteristics of produced chitosan were in accordance with the commercial standard that showed a higher percentile yield posing many properties of commercial value and greater scope of industrial applications. This study revealed that shrimp shell waste could be effectively utilized for the extraction of chitin, chitosan, and chitooligomer for industrial applications. The zone of inhibition study of E.coli shows that chitosan and COS may have a high antimicrobial property hence it usefulness in the wound healing management.
Contribution/ Originality
This study aimed to seek out the biomaterial present in shrimp shells waste known as chitin and chitosan biopolymers that are naturally abundant, their characterization and antimicrobial study for use in wound healing management.

Abstract
This study examined the impact of fuel pump price adjustment and the causal relationship between fuel pump price adjustments and economic growth in Nigeria using secondary data extracted from the Central Bank of Nigeria annual report and National Bureau of Statistics publications spanning from 1980 - 2019. Descriptive statistics, unit root test, Johansen cointegration test, VECM and Granger causality test were employed to analyse the data. The result showed that a 1% increase in the prices of PMS and AGO increased economic growth by 0.014%, 0.038% and 0.018% respectively while AGO is reduced by 0.002%. Also the prices of PMS, AGO and DPK does not granger cause economic growth in Nigeria within the period under this study meaning that any macroeconomic policy that affects economic growth should be pursued independent of fuel pump prices as any policy aimed at influencing economic growth through pump price adjustments seems to be ineffective.
Contribution/ Originality
This study is one of very few studies which have investigated the impact of fuel price adjustments on Nigeria’s economic growth, with data covering various government regimes up to 2020. The linear model allowed us to introduce an index called index of labour input proxied by exchange rate – EXR.

Abstract
In line with the trend of community policing at the global level, the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) is expected to be able to enforce the law fairly and humanely, but in ways that protect people. This present study is aimed at finding a theoretical model of the performance of POLRI members. This model involves under-represented variables in the literature on police performance, namely servant leadership (SL), group cohesiveness (GC), silence behavior (SB), and communication apprehension (CA). To confirm the model, which hypothesizes that CA is the mediator of the relationships between SL, GC and SB and police performance, this study uses a quantitative, correlational predictive design with structural equation modeling (SEM) data analysis techniques. Research on 551 police officers in Greater Jakarta (Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi), Indonesia, found that the theoretical model partially fits the empirical data. Nevertheless, there are unique and counter-intuitive findings: the higher the servant leadership, the higher the communication apprehension; the higher the servant leadership, the lower the performance of POLRI members; group cohesiveness cannot predict communication apprehension; and the higher the group cohesiveness, the lower the performance of POLRI members. These findings are meaningful for drawing up human resource policies within POLRI, including job analysis, recruitment, selection, work culture, performance appraisal, training, and development. This finding is unique because silence behavior has never been investigated within POLRI. This study also proposes a modified practice of servant leadership within the police institution.
Contribution/ Originality
This research is one of the few that has investigated performance models of the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) involving socio-psychological variables. The results will inspire POLRI to formulate an adaptable model of servant leadership and ensure awareness of silence behavior and group cohesiveness within the institution.

Abstract
With the popularity of the internet in China increasing, especially among young people and college students, it has become an indispensable part of life. However, Chinese college students either engage in violence via the internet or are targeted by online violence, causing major concern within Chinese society. Currently, the adverse consequences of online violence conducted by Chinese college students have attracted the attention of domestic college student affairs managers. This study, with the influence of reinforcement sensitivity on cyber violence as the starting point, analyzes punishment sensitivity and cyber violence and the relationship between the two by building a structural equation model. It was found that reward sensitivity is prominently related to cyber violence, and that punishment sensitivity have no obvious relevance to cyber violence. On this basis, it is proposed that university student administrators should pay attention to the high reward sensitivity of college students' satisfaction acquisition channels; college students with high reward sensitivity who participate in cyber violence for a sustained period need proper intervention. Improvements are needed in students' cognition and they should be taught how to deal with online violence.
Contribution/ Originality
The paper's primary contribution is finding that reward sensitivity is prominently related to cyber violence, and punishment sensitivity have no obvious relevance to cyber violence. Suggestions are proposed on the prevention of cyber violence on the basis on the results.

Abstract
This study investigated the effects of pre-storage heating and storage period of hatching eggs on hatchability traits and chick quality of Dokki-4 (Egyptian local strain of chickens) laying hens. A total of 3600 eggs were collected from 46-week-old laying hens. Eggs were distributed in a 3x4 factorial arrangement, with three storage times (4, 8 and 12 days at 18°C and 75% RH) and four heat treatments prior to storage (0, 3, 6 and 9 hours at 37.5°C and 56% RH). Eggs were distributed to twelve treatments of 20 replicates. After storage, eggs were incubated under the normal conditions of incubation at the same time. The results showed that the long storage period increased egg weight loss. Hatchability and chick quality results from 8-12 days stored eggs were lower than eggs stored for 4 days. The 6-hour pre-storage heating system substantially improved egg hatchability and chick quality relative to non-heated or 9-hour heating. Important interactions were observed during pre-storage heating × egg storage time for loss in egg weight, hatchability of total and fertile eggs, embryonic mortality and chick quality. When eggs were stored for more than four days, pre-storage heating of hatching eggs for six hours improved hatchability and chick quality compared to unheated eggs or heated for 9 hours. Conclusively, pre-storage heat treatment beneficially affects hatchability traits and chick quality, especially when hatching eggs are stored for long periods.
Contribution/ Originality
This study contributes to existing literature by investigating the effects of pre-storage heating and storage period of hatching eggs on hatchability traits and chick quality of Dokki-4 (Egyptian local strain of chickens) laying hens.

Abstract
With the 2019 implementation of the Rice Tariffication Law (RTL), prices of ordinary white rice are expected to go down as a response to the influx of cheaper rice imports. This could put the local farmers at a disadvantage and could provoke them to reduce rice cultivation. Production of aromatic rice, a type of specialty rice with pandan-like scent induced by 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline (2AP) compound, could serve as a viable enterprise for the local farmers. Covering the provinces of Oriental Mindoro and Apayao, this study was conducted to produce baseline information and gain a comprehensive understanding of the production and potentials of aromatic rice. A survey was carried out to obtain 2017 cropping season farm-level data from 82 market-oriented farmer-respondents. Descriptive statistics and costs and returns structure were employed for data analysis. Results showed that venturing into aromatic rice cultivation can be a viable enterprise for the farmers as a coping mechanism with the ill effects of RTL. Yield level of modern aromatic rice varieties is at par with the national average. Aromatic rice cultivation also appeared to be profitable. Findings showed that the current local aromatic rice industry has high potential for expansion and opportunity for import substitution. Furthermore, top aromatic rice varieties in the country must be looked into to increase profitability. With these conclusions, strategies for yield enhancement, cost reduction, and premium quality preservation are recommended.
Contribution/ Originality
This study contributes to the existing literature as it cuts across disciplinary approaches to fully understand the Philippine aromatic rice industry. It synthesizes findings into recommended action plans that can help boost the growth of the said industry.

Abstract
Energy drinks have become increasingly popular among young adults and athletes in the last few years. Despite their popularity, little research has substantiated the claims of the positive effects on physical performance of popular energy drinks. Most current research focuses on caffeine alone, but does not often look at how mixing it with other psychoactive substances might alter its effects. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the alterations of gait tasks after consumption of three popular energy drinks on young healthy adults. Methods: Fifteen women and five men were recruited, screened, and signed informed consent to participate in this study. All participants were healthy young adults with no apparent comorbidities that might have been impacted by the consumption of energy drinks. Motion analysis was conducted using Movement Lab TM sensors placed at key anatomical points. Subjects were asked for two bouts of gait tasks pre-energy drink consumption, and then repeat the same tasks after energy drink consumption. Results: There were no significant modifications in gait, however, observable trends were detected in postural gait parameters following the consumption of a Rockstar energy drink. Conclusion: We infer that the trends observed could be attributed to the specific key ingredients used in Rockstar and might have caused gait deviations post consumption. Further studies should focus on Rockstar alone and its specific key ingredients of caffeine, guarana, ginseng, and milk thistle to determine their influence on gait deviations.
Contribution/ Originality
The paper’s primary contribution is finding gait adaptations to diverse energy drinks or energy drinks ingredients in healthy young adults. Particularly, this research identified trends towards gait variations that could be associated to the different ingredients in energy drinks and the interactions of these ingredients with caffeine.

Abstract
The traditional reward system (RS) based on the job description and salary scales is often unable to cope with changes in the business environment: market globalization, technological development, and organizational changes. In this context, the project-based organization (PBO) must adopt new RSs that encourage employees to have responsibility and autonomy in their jobs and define their professional lifestyle. The present work aimed to identify the challenges of a competency-based reward system (CBRS) in PBO. To this end, we carried out a qualitative study based on 31 semi-structured interviews with Tunisian project managers. The results showed that RS must fund the development of the project actor, emphasizing their current and potential competencies rather than rewarding past performance. In addition, RS may be a substantial risk in PBO when there is a significant gap between employees’ salaries. Improper distribution of rewards can negatively affect the motivation of project team members and encourage unproductive functioning within the organization.
Contribution/ Originality
This study contributes to existing literature by identifying the challenges of a competency-based reward system (CBRS) in PBO.

A questionnaire was used to collect 400 samples from four provinces: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, and Nakhon Phanom. Quota sampling was used to ensure 100 samples per province along with convenience sampling. Exploration factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were carried out. The results revealed that the economic factors affected the success of sustainable tourism development in the communities, which was measured by the indicators of community-based tourism (CBT) in all five dimensions. The indicators in the dimension of sustainable tourism management had the greatest influence on sustainable tourism development. The results suggest that the concerned agencies should set economic motivation policies and should educate about quality community management and development to help expand the economy in the communities in order to create income, generate employment, and increase the standard of living for people in the communities.
Contribution/ Originality
The paper’s primary contribution is the finding that economic factors enable the promotion of sustainable tourism development in comunities and function as a tool for tourism economics and policy making in the development of tourism at the macro level.

Abstract
Like other industries, tourism and travel industry has been affected too much from global COVID-19 pandemic. The negative effects of pandemic can be easily seen in all tourism types starting from 3S (sea, sand, sun) tourism to religious tourism. According to World Religious Travel Association (WRTA) around 300 million tourists move internationally in religious tourism market. This study aimed to determine the perspectives of the local people living in Demre on religious tourism and to find out whether the local people living in the district were aware of the potential of religious tourism in the district. It also aimed to reveal whether there was a difference between the demographic characteristics of the local people and their perspectives on religious tourism. As a result of the logistic regression analysis conducted within the scope of the research, it was observed that people with high income levels and those working as managers had a low perspective on religious tourism.

Abstract
This work aims to identify economic opportunities for future tourism cluster development in tourism-dependent regions using the case of Taos County, New Mexico. The work analyzes the composition of local tourism economic activities of Taos County by quantifying how concentrated the tourism sector is in the county compared to the United States and the State of New Mexico from 2011 to 2019. The author analyzed data from the New Mexico Department of Tourism’s state and county tourism economic impact reports, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, and the U.S. Census Bureau using location quotients analysis. Results show that Taos has no high-performing, rising, high-potential tourism-related industry, despite the tourism sector providing a steady economic base for the community. The traveler accommodation industry, which is more concentrated in Taos than the state and the nation, is trending downwards. The arts, recreation and entertainment, transportation, and retail hold the potential for strength in the future, potentially contributing more to the county’s tourism economic base. The implication is that practitioners should work with groups of businesses in the tourism cluster instead of individual businesses to address their shared critical needs.
Contribution/ Originality
A community may have a strong concentration of tourism-related jobs and visitor spending; however, industry gaps may exist. For the first time, this work assesses how well the group of industries within a tourism cluster is doing in terms of their visitor spending growth and sustainability and identifies opportunities for future cluster development.
