  • Animal Review (AR) (e-ISSN 2409-6490/ p-ISSN 2412-3382) is an interdisciplinary and international journal. It publishes original research articles, and short notes that are related to any ground of study that involves animals, containing zoology, ethnozoology, animal science, animal ethics and animal welfare. 

    • Review Process: 
      • Initial Evaluation: The editorial team assesses each submission to ensure alignment with the journal’s aims and scope. Manuscripts outside the journal’s focus or those with ethical concerns, including plagiarism and self-plagiarism, are rejected without peer review.
      • Plagiarism Screening: All submissions undergo similarity checks using CrossCheck, powered by iThenticate, to maintain academic integrity.
      • Peer Review: Articles that pass the initial screening are subject to a rigorous peer-review process. Authors receive a first decision within approximately 20 to 30 working days.
      • Publication Timeline: Accepted manuscripts are published within 10 to 15 days following final approval.
    • Article Processing Charges (APC): AR does not charge any article processing fees for submissions in 2025. However, manuscripts requiring English language editing and proofreading may incur a nominal fee, determined by the length of the document.
    • Digital Object Identifier (DOI): Every published article is assigned a unique DOI, ensuring persistent and reliable access. Click here to learn more about DOIs.
    • Indexing and Visibility: Animal Review is indexed by the Google Scholar and other databases.
    • Recognition of Reviewers: In appreciation of their contributions, reviewers who provide timely and thorough evaluations receive vouchers for discounts on the APC of their next publication in any Conscientia Beam journal.
