Assessment and measurement of learning outcomes are an important part of the teaching process. In addition to supporting content learning, technology-based assessments are more advantageous than traditional assessments, as it can help reduce time as well as provide more access to student needs and preferences, allowing educators to personalize learning. Nowadays, more and more different types and assessment tools are applied to assess according to competence, helping teachers to get the most accurate, objective and reliable results about the learners' competencies. Advances in technology will extend the use of student competence assessments aimed at improving the efficiency of the learning process in education. The goal of competence-based education is to focus on the output of the teaching and learning process, which emphasizes the competence and level of competence that learners need to achieve after the end of a training program, thus the development of technology, technology, socio-economy and politics from education has been identified as a key task in teaching towards developing competence for learners. This paper researches and identifies the factors in competence-based assessment with technology-assisted, contributing to identifying ways of assessing learners in the direction of competence development, aiming to diversify methods of student assessment in teaching and online teaching.
Contribution/ Originality
This study contributes in the existing literature and additional about theory of the competence technology-based assessment, with a research method that combines educational practices to identify the determinants of learners' competence based on the technology driven environment aimed at diversifying student assessment methods in teaching.

Three-phase AC motors are widely used in the industry. Nowadays, it accounts for 90% of the motors used in engine applications in technological lines. Control methods for this object are also quite complete and installed in industrial inverters in commerce. For commercial equipment, operators must not interfere with the control structure due to the closed nature of the system. For small-scale applications and applications that require operators, it is necessary to intervene in the control structure to customize the technology process. However, it cannot be done with commercially available equipment. Therefore, the authors propose a solution to build a standardized hardware system that can interfere with the control structure using the C2000 family microcontroller. The advantage of this solution is that it is inexpensive and allows us to install different algorithms. Besides, it is possible to connect to PC via Matlab/Simulink in real-time control problem.
Contribution/ Originality
This study contributes to the existing literature by investigating the application of DSP C2000 in the control of alternating current electric motors creates an open system. Therefore, the operator can intervene directly in the control structure, which is not possible with commercial devices. This is particularly suitable for specialized applications that need to be customized according to technology.

A chatbot system enables communication between computer and users through natural language. The university students face many problems for the queries and details regarding their examination and it is also difficult for them to physically visit the examination department frequently. The concerned authorities find it challenging to handle thousands of student queries in parallel, thus, consuming a lot of time. At present, majority of the chatbot system are available in English language. Therefore, people who are not fluent in English language cannot use these systems due to the obvious reason of language barrier. This paper focuses on the viability of a chatbot system for the examination department of Mehran University of Engineering Technology (MUET) Jamshoro. The chatbot discussed in this paper has been designed to support both Urdu and English languages. Three chatbot interfaces have been developed, Urdu typing based chatbot, English typing based chatbot and English voice based Chabot. The typing based chatbots (both English and Urdu) have been developed using AIML, and voice based chatbot is based on dialogflow called as API.ai. This study is not only concerned with the development of three interfaces of chatbot systems, but also covers their evaluation. To find best chatbot interface, a survey was conducted with engineering students of MUET Jamshoro. The results revealed that the among the three chatbot interfaces, English typing-based interface is the best due to the usability, easiness and the general understanding of queries.
Contribution/ Originality
This paper contribution is twofold, first is the development of a chatbot system that enables communication in Urdu and English languages. Second is the comparison of both chatbots by performing the user testing.
