International Research Journal of Insect Sciences (IRJIS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field of entomology. The journal aims to provide a platform for the dissemination of high-quality scientific research, reviews, and communications that contribute to understanding the biology, physiology, behavior, ecology, and interactions of insects and other arthropods. Our objective is to promote the exchange of ideas among researchers, practitioners, and academicians worldwide, fostering innovation and the application of entomological studies in diverse fields including agriculture, environmental sciences, and public health.

Editorial and Peer-Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous editorial and peer-review process to ensure scientific quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  • Initial Editorial Assessment: Each manuscript is evaluated by the editorial team to determine its suitability for the journal and its alignment with the aims and scope of IRJIS. Manuscripts that fall outside the journal’s focus or raise ethical concerns, including plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or other forms of academic misconduct, may be rejected without external review.

  • Plagiarism Screening: To maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, all submissions are screened using CrossCheck powered by iThenticate before entering the peer-review process.

  • Peer Review: Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial evaluation are subjected to a rigorous peer-review process conducted by qualified experts in the relevant field. Authors typically receive a first decision within approximately 15-30 days.
