  • The Economics and Finance Letters (EFL) is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research in all areas of economics and finance. The journal provides a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to exchange insights, promote dialogue, and contribute to the development of knowledge that informs academic debates and policy decisions. EFL encourages innovative, rigorous, and impactful research that addresses contemporary challenges in global, regional, and local contexts.

    • Review Process: 
      • Initial Evaluation: The editorial team assesses each submission to ensure alignment with the journal’s aims and scope. Manuscripts outside the journal’s focus or those with ethical concerns, including plagiarism and self-plagiarism, are rejected without peer review.
      • Plagiarism Screening: All submissions undergo similarity checks using CrossCheck, powered by iThenticate, to maintain academic integrity.
      • Peer Review: Articles that pass the initial screening are subject to a rigorous peer-review process. Authors receive a first decision within approximately 30 to 45 working days.
      • Publication Timeline: Accepted manuscripts are published within 30 to 40 days following final approval.
    • DOIs at the Article Level: Each paper published in The Economics and Finance Letters  is assigned a DOI number, Click HERE to know what is DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
    • High Visibility: The Economics and Finance Letters is indexed by Scopus, Scimago (Q4), Web of Science - Emerging Sources Citation Index, Google Scholar,  RePEc (Germany), IDEAS,  and other databases.
    • Journal Rank: JCR - Q3 (Economics) / CiteScore - Q4 (General Economics, Econometrics and Finance)
    • Recognition of Reviewers: Reviewers who provide timely, thorough peer-review reports receive vouchers entitling them to a discount on the APC of their next publication in any Conscientia Beam journal, in appreciation of the work done.
    • Conscientia Beam takes the responsibility to enforce a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure to add high quality scientific works to the field of scholarly publication. Unfortunately, cases of plagiarism, data falsification, inappropriate authorship credit, and the like, do arise. Conscientia Beam takes such publishing ethics issues very seriously and our editors are trained to proceed in such cases with a zero tolerance policy. To verify the originality of content submitted to our journals, we use iThenticate to check submissions against previous publications. Conscientia Beam works with Publons to provide reviewers with credit for their work.
    • Article Processing Charges (APC): There is no submission fee; however, the author(s) pay the article processing charges (APC) of 1000 USD, after acceptance. If the article requires extensive English language editing, we will charge additional language editing fee, varying and based on with the length of the article.  If your institute is a member of the Conscientia Beam, your APC could be discounted up to 10%.
    • Publication Frequency: The Conscientia Beam announces that the frequency of The Economics and Finance Letters will be quarterly from 2023.
